John Hurlbut has been the manager of Jorma Kaukonen’s Fur Peace Ranch for a long time. For a longer time he has been collecting music and playing guitar, fronting popular bands in the 80’s and 90’s. In 2020 John began to gain national attention playing with Jorma. John’s first album “The River Flows” with Jorma accompanying him, garnered such great reviews that John did a second album, “The River Flows, Vol. 2”. Jorma’s newest album, with John accompanying him, will release on April 20th for Record Store Day. John continues to play with his group, The Hurling Habaneros, and with SKott Brown when not working with Jorma.

Skott Brown is a sound artist, with roots in classical viola, adolescence in experimental rock guitar, and currently sharpening bows in bluegrass/old time, with many worldly musical influences in between. From Columbus, Ohio he has been sawing the fiddle and picking custom designed Mandolimba Harp with groups like the Mighty Troubadours, High Water Drifters, John Hurlbut, and KrisB’s Midnight Railroad.
